Picnic Time!

Food is so important to us, it goes beyond the dinner table and into everywhere we go. If we’re off to the park, we’re packing a picnic; if we’re hopping on a plane, we’re packing a picnic; if we’re off to the beach, we’re packing a picnic; if we’re off on a four-hour road trip, we’re packing a picnic; if we’re going downstairs to the pool, we’re packing a picnic. We can’t go anywhere without a bite to eat at hand; it brings us comfort, joy, and security. Regardless of what may go wrong, we will not go hungry. Furthermore, since we know there is really nothing like our homemade food, it is quite common to spend the previous day cooking up a storm to make sure there’s enough for everyone during the following day’s outing. Yes, it’s that important to us.
